Packages
A Package is a reusable specification for physical packaging material. It describes a named box, bag, drum, bottle, reel, pallet, container, or other packaging item that can be selected by many Product Packs.
Open Company Workspace → Packages to maintain Company Packages and to browse Application Packages available to the selected company.

Package fit checks use the known Product envelope from the Category Logistics Shape Profile and compare it with Package capacity. A fit check blocks physically impossible combinations and marks incomplete data as needing review.
Application and Company Packages
Application Packages are shared starter or standard specifications maintained by Application Administrators. Every Company can select them, but Company users cannot edit them.
Company Packages belong to the selected Company. Company users with the required permission can create, edit, deactivate, or delete them when reference safety permits.
The Company Package list shows Company Packages before Application masters and can hide Application masters when users want to focus on their own library.
Relationship to Product Pack
Package does not specify which Product it contains or how much Product is inside. A Product Pack connects the selected Package to:
- one Product;
- a Product quantity and Measure Unit;
- customer, ordering, and shipping roles;
- optional packed gross weight;
- identifiers and Catalog usage.
The same physical Package can therefore be reused for a 2-piece Product Pack and a 10-piece Product Pack, provided its load and physical capacity are appropriate.
What does not belong to Package
Price, currency, minimum order, stock, reservation, and preparation time belong to the Commercial Offer in a Sales Catalog.
